I am Iron Man

Well, of course we bought it. We’ve just had too many other shows to watch to see it until now.  Scott and I watched this together last night and loved it just as much as we loved it in the theaters.  I told you, I’m a sucker for comic book movies!

So the story here is that Tony Stark is a major weapons manufacturer who ends up getting kidnapped by a terrorist group and forced to make a massively destructive weapon.  He tricks them and builds a suit and destroys all of the groups weapons before being picked up and brought back home where he perfects the suit.

Tony, who was a major play boy is changed by this experience and wants to become a better man.  He is helped on his journey by his lovely assistant Pepper Pots (I still claim that name if I ever have a girl.  Don’t even think of taking it.).

I’m telling you ladies, it’s so worth a look and you could score major points with your hubby if you told him you wanted to watch it with him.  I say buy it, but if you’re unsure, definitely rent it.

My favorite scene is where he’s testing out the suits ability to fly.  What’s yours?

I reall liked Ironman, too. It’s weird to see Robert Downey Jr. after so long, but I thought he was great in this. And he’s definately aged well!

So I just watched this over Thanksgiving and really surprised myself with how much I liked it. I really hope they do a sequel and develop his relationship with Penelope a little more- my favorite scene was when he saved the villagers, and then plopped one of the villains right into their laps. Sweet Justice. Thanks for recommending it Alisa!
