Scott and I discovered this show on Discovery, Tuesday night, 10p and absolutely loved it.  The host, Dave, finds “wreckreational” sports to do and just does them.  Tuesday he did lawnmower racing, alligator wrestling and chess boxing.  That’s right, I said chess boxing.  You warm up and get in the ring and play a few rounds of chess and pound on each other for a few rounds and then play a few more rounds of chess.  The match ends with check mate or knock out.  Either way, it pretty freaking awesome.  Apparently it’s all the rage in Europe and hasn’t quite caught on in America yet.  One can only hope.

I don’t think I’ll blog about this one every week but maybe if there’s another chess boxing gem I’ll mention it.  Chess boxing.  Who comes up with these things?
