Chuck: Chuck Versus the Broken Heart

chk_218_12What a great episode.  I really got into this one and actually cared about what was going to happen.  From the opening scene where Chuck is grabbed and tied up and taken hostage by his three Buy More friends on their dry run for Awesome’s bachelor party to the introduction of Agent Forrest.

I think the funniest scene in Chuck history was Forrest and Casey cleaning their guns.  I totally thought Casey was smitten and hated Sarah but it turns out he held true to Bro’s before Ho’s in this case.  He totally stuck up for Sarah and that really surprised me and made me REALLY happy.  Of course we knew Sarah wouldn’t be gone for long but I was afraid it would be a couple of episodes with her on the outs.  Thank goodness she never really left.

The second funniest scene is the three exotic dancers walking in with fog to the bachelor party.  I love Jeff so much because he is beyond gross and he lived up to my expectations by hiring his sister as one of the dancers because she offered him half off.  OMG.  And I love that Lester scrapbooks.  If those two ever get a girl I will be a little grossed out but very amused.

How bad do you feel for Awesome and Ellie?  My heart is breaking because Awesome didn’t do anything wrong.  I’m totally mad at Forrest for playing her cover too well and taking all of those pictures with him.  Darn her for ruining everything.  I know things will work out for Ellie and Awesome but I can see things being awkward for a while and that makes me sad.  Very sad.  They’re just so awesome I hate to see anything bad happen to them.

I can’t wait to meet Chuck’s dad next week.  The preview looked a little over the top but heck, that can be fun.  Do you think Chuck’s dad will stick around for more than one episode?  Will he be around to walk Ellie down the aisle?

This really was a great episode–so much to laugh at (the laughing gas scene cracked me up, and those dancers were absolutely hilarious) but also so much to worry about with the new, super mean girl and Chuck & Sarah, and then Awesome possible dying or losing Ellie.

I was so mad that General Beckman pulled that whole 49B thing to begin with, though. Who knew they had that many cameras planted everywhere? Thankfully it ended up being Sarah’s saving grace (and Chuck’s, of course) and we don’t have to put up with Miss “I love to tranq everyone I see” anymore.

Oh, I love this show! But, man, I am getting too frustrated with the sexual tension. I want Chuck to just kiss Sarah. Come on! In fact, there was a moment (I can’t remember when anymore) when I thought Sarah WAS going to kiss Chuck. This is like a Pam/Jim relationship to me… and they’re going to drag it out as long as possible. (They WILL be together)
