Smallville: Eternal
Did anyone else think it was weird that Chloe was hanging out having dinner with Davis? I’m not an idiot. I knew they were going to end up together but it creeped me out that she would jump into a relationship with him so quickly. At this point I hope and wish with all my heart that we never hear from Jimmy again. His heart would splinter into a thousand pieces if he knew Chloe and Davis were an item. I don’t want to see him hurt like that. He’s such a nice guy.
I was so grossed out when Clark scanned the field where Davis’ car was found and came up with all of those bodies. There were tons of them. Maybe even a hundred. Maybe I’m exaggerating but disgusting! How can Davis honestly justify his actions. His last guy was a three peat drunk driver. Not a serial killer or serial rapist. An alcoholic who could have used some rehab not a death sentence. Not OK Davis. Not OK.
And as if I didn’t hate Lionel Luther enough as it is he had to go and do something totally horrendous to little boy Davis. I know the man had only one thing on his mind and that was finding the Traveler but to drop a little boy off in an alley is below anything else he had done. I’m just surprised that monster Davis didn’t go back and exact his revenge on him. He’ll take out drunk drivers but leave the man who left him desolate and without a home. Doesn’t make sense but Lionel is gone anyway so good riddance.
Of course the kryptonite didn’t kill Davis. Every time he dies he comes back stronger. I had hoped for a brief moment though that kryptonite could actually weaken him but that was some serious wishful thinking on my part.
Which bring us back to Chloe. Of course she’s going to stay with Davis. Let’s see… I can leave and let him kill my best friend and destroy the Earth or I can stay with him and save them all. There really was no choice to be made. It was pretty much made for her. Talk about an unhealthy relationship. It’ll be interesting to see where their relationship goes. Whether it stays platonic and all save the wordish or whether it turns into something romantic.
And do you guys know what that stone was that Tess had? I don’t remember it from past episodes so I don’t know what powers it holds. She seems to be very intent that Davis and Clark have a battle to the death so maybe it gives Davis some kind of power? I don’t know. Can you guys help me out? What is Tess up to?
Smallville is on Thursdays at 8pm PT on The CW.

I thought it was weird that Chloe was with Davis so soon, too. If she and Jimmy had just been *dating* and then broken up, it’d be okay. But they got MARRIED. Too much, in my book.
I think the reason Davis didn’t kill a seriously evil dude (like himself!) was because those guys are already locked up. My thinking is that he looks at criminal records, then kills them. If there is public proof that a guy has killed or raped someone, he’s going to be behind bars, at least for a time. Davis only has access to people who aren’t already serving time.
Maybe. That’s honestly just a guess.
One inconsistency bothered me in the episode. When the first meteor shower hit Smallville, the Luthor mansion wasn’t already there. They were flying in a helicopter from Metropolis (which is supposedely three hours away, but in the show they make it look like a suburb.) So Davis and Lex shouldn’t have had memories in the mansion. But it makes for a good story.
OF COURSE Chloe was gonna stay. She has feelings for him, plus all the reasons you listed. When she started walking up the stairs I honestly thought she was leaving, then realized she was just locking the door.
The stone Tess had looked really familiar to me, but I couldn’t place it. It’ll be interesting to see what part she plays in all this.

The stone Tess has…. Wasn’t it the stone that was supposedly supposed to control the traveler? Everyone was so freaked out about Lex finding it because he could have controlled Clark. I think that’s where I remember it from anyways.
