Survivor Tocantins: The Martyr Approach

I want to preface this post by saying: I wrote this Friday morning, on an airplane. I didn’t have internet access to post it until now… and yes, I have seen the Finale! I intentionally left everything exactly as I wrote it 3 days ago, although let’s just say, I found it very interesting how my opinion could change in just one episode. Enjoy, and another post will soon follow.

Well, it finally happened. Coach is gone. And after wanting him to leave for the last 4 or 5 weeks, I’m embarrassed to say that I’m actually going to miss him and his ridiculous-ness! Honestly, every episode he made me laugh so hard. And last night I finally realized why. He reminds me of Michael Scott. Did you notice his monologue at Exile? Let me paraphrase…”blah blah blah… I’m like my ancient Native American Ancestors who go out into the wilderness to become a man… Except I’m already a man… So, I’m going to become a better man.” You can script it better than that!

I also loved that Coach thought the game would finally be played honestly. Hello, all 5 left have lied at some point. And that’s how you play the game. I just wish I could see the players’ reactions watching the show after the fact.

Ultimately, I was glad the Stephen decided to go with Coach over Erinn. Erinn won’t stand a chance if she even makes the finals.

So, look at that! My 3 favorites made the final 4! I really think Stephen has played the best game and deserves to win, but I would be happy if it was JT or Taj. How about you?

You totally hit the nail on the head about Coach as Michael!!!I really like Taj! But this has been an exciting and nice ending this season. It didn’t get too vicious AND I really felt the final people were all pretty good people.
