Well, I’m feeling quite pleased… my 3 absolute favorites were safe. So, by the time they get around to deciding who went home, I actually didn’t really care. In case you didn’t watch, and you’re getting the results straight from me, the bottom 2 girls were Kayla and Janette, and the bottom 2 guys were Jason and Brandon. Janette and Jason were the ones to leave.

Honestly, I feel like Jason squeaked by so many times, that it was definitely his time to go. When he did have a great dance number, it was usually when he was paired with a great girl. And as I said yesterday, his solos have never impressed me. I still think he’s a great dancer- but we’re getting to America’s favorite dancer, so I’m totally OK with him leaving.

As for the girls, I think both Janette and Kayla are great. Janette was always surprisingly good. I don’t know that she ever got a bad critique. (Except when she danced with Evan- but they didn’t have anything bad to say about her.) She just never won me over. I can’t even say why. But were you as surprised as me that both Mia and Nigel said she was their favorite? Obviously, she wasn’t America’s favorite…

Overall, that was an awesome show. It was the 100th episode of So You Think You Can Dance, and they packed it full. I would have loved to see Ellen back up there, but I’m guessing they didn’t have time for her hilarious commentary. It was so great to see “The Hummingbird and the Flower” again, and I loved “The Bench.” That was performed before I was a fan of the show. And even after hearing so much about it, I think it lived up to its reputation.

There are only 2 weeks left. The top 6 perform next week, and the top 4 perform the week after that. The winner is announced at the results of the top 4. So, if you want to get in on the action, watch next week, Wednesday at 8pm PST, on Fox.
