So You Think You Can Dance: And the Winner Is…
In 4th place: Kayla.
In 3rd place: Evan.
And America’s favorite dancer is… Jeanine!!
I thought she had a great chance, until I read people’s comments yesterday about Brandon being the one to beat. So, then I got a little worried. But my girl pulled out the win! I don’t know if you watched the results show, but every time Cat mentioned each finalist’s name, the cheers for Jeanine were significantly louder. So, I think she made a name for herself along the way, and “peaked at just the right time,” like the judges said. And one thing I love about Jeanine, and forgot to mention yesterday, is that I think she shows the most emotion in her body and her face as she dances all her numbers. I’m so happy for her!
Just a couple side notes about the show. I love it when they show “the best” routines from the season. However, I sat around for almost 2 hours waiting for any routine of Melissa or Ade’s. I know they like to showcase the finalists, but Janette performed 2 numbers last night… and only made it to the top 8. Melissa and Ade were in the top 6! Fortunately, they saved the BEST for last. I do they think they had other worthy numbers, but oh well. I know Kayla looked hot, but why did she do that routine (Samba?) with Max? I was unimpressed.
Anyway, I hope none of you are too disappointed with the results. I’m quite pleased… and I’m even more excited that I only have to wait a month for the next season to start! Yay for So You Think You Can Dance Season 6!

OK. It’s pretty bad though. I don’t like her body. At all. I think it looks like a square from the neck down and her neck is as thick as a line backers. Ouch, right. I know, I’m totally superficial but it seriously bugged me every time I saw her. Every time. I just couldn’t get past it. I think she’s a great dancer but she wasn’t my favorite because of that. I guess it turned into not liking her lines for me because of the shape of her body. Nothing more than that.
I could not believe Kayla came in fourth place behind Evan. WTFreaking crap was that all about? I stood up for Evan a few weeks ago but he did not deserve to be in the finals at all and it really pissed me off that he came in in front of Kayla.
What a surprising ending. Can’t wait for the next season so I can pick apart more contestants looks and judge them merely by their neck size.

It just goes to show that it comes down to personality. Like when Benji won over Travis. Travis is clearly the better dancer, but Benji’s personality just exploded everytime he was on stage, and people loved it.
Same with Jeanine over Brandon and Evan over Kayla. Jeanine was hilarious and so much fun. Brandon was a great dancer, but kind of boring. Evan was so adorable that people couldn’t help but love him, while Kayla was just…..a good dancer.
As far as Jeanine’s body…….I’m fairly square-shaped myself. I have no “going-in” at the waist, I only go out at my hips. I’ve always blamed it on being so short and having my ribcage touch my hipbones. So I loved that a square-shaped girl did so well. And I think Brandon was funny-looking. He had a great body, but his head looked too small for his neck. It just bugged me everytime I looked at him.
I was all set for Brandon to win, but I’m so glad Jeanine did! It kinda felt like the American Idol finale, no?
I’m excited for 9/4! SYTYCD AND Glee!!!
