Glee: The Rhodes Not Taken
I actually think this may have been my favorite episode so far. Between all the (mostly) fun songs, seeing very little of Terri and Quinn, and having Kristen Chenowith guest star, I thought it was great. I love Chenowith- mostly from Wicked and Pushing Daisies. But she has really begun to make a name for herself in Hollywood, and I think she’s fabulous. Both as a singer and an actress. I was a little skeptical about her singing pop songs… she clearly has a voice for Broadway. (It was very evident when she sang the Cabaret song.) But I loved her and Will’s karaoke duet.
It was so much fun to see Glee do a real performance. (Although I really didn’t care for the country song.) But the second number was awesome. I actually sat there, smiling, tapping the beat. I realized- this is why I started watching the show in the first place. It makes me want to be a part of something like that.
I’m really looking forward to the juicy drama to come. Will is finally curious about his wife, and her lack of nausea. I’m glad to see they’re not making him out to be a total idiot. But Terri is going to start working at the school? That will definitely make things awkward with Emma and Will. And at some point, I think Puck is going to break down and admit to being the father of Quinn’s baby. Can’t wait!

This episode was fantastic. Glee is so much fun to watch and so different from other shows. The singing is great, the acting is over the top and the story-lines just plain good. I haven’t seen a great TV show like this for a long time. I hope they can keep up the good work.
Does anyone in here watches Lie to Me?

I loved this episode too! I was laughing or singing along the entire time. How great is it that they sing so many awesome eighties songs? April was such a hilarious addition, meeting chat room fans in foreclosed homes and asking teenagers for Nyquil. Also love that they are finally performing!!

Fantastic episode!! I was singing along the whole time, too. Kristen was amazing. Wouldn’t it be great if they could find a way to make her a recurring character? Her plea for work at the Emmy’s was hilarious.
last night I tried to find youtube videos of all the songs, but I guess Fox is holding the reins pretty tightly. I even tried to make a playlist.com playlist, but the songs weren’t on there. I may have to breakdown and get an iTunes account!!

I would love for Kristen to do a regular guest spot- when the drama director spot opened up I thought for sure they would be moving her in there. Let’s hope she’s on again- I almost died laughing when she was teaching the girls how to conceal crap in between their legs- and then when she walked out of the football teams shower! Love it!
