The Biggest Loser 8: Week 4

Screen shot 2009-10-07 at 9.15.40 AMI actually really liked this week’s challenges and competitions. First, I cannot imagine how hard it would be to eat out 3 meals a day for a week! I can hardly stand it when I eat out 2 meals in a day. (Granted, when I eat out, it’s usually Burger King…) Even though eating out is real life, I don’t think a single one of them will ever have to go to that extreme. Still, I was really impressed with everyone’s weight loss in spite of it all.

And then there was the reward challenge. I would lose every calorie counting contest held. And I used to think it was a pointless competition. But, calorie books on the ranch are their bibles, and that’s the most significant way to lose weight. We’ve all seen people in the past workout like crazy, but if they don’t eat the right amount of good calories, they won’t lose any weight! And, it has also been proven (with Tracey!) that you don’t even need to work out to lose weight. If you start with healthy eating, you can drop pounds. In fact, I’m trying to get over the fact that Tracey is still there. I want her gone more than I’ve ever wanted any other contestant to leave! (More so than Vicki!) If someone can lose 4 pounds in a week by doing absolutely nothing, then why does she need to be there?! Seriously, she can go home, eat healthy, and slowly start exercising and still succeed.

I was just glad the purple team didn’t win immunity. Can you believe how long Shay held on? She is the heaviest person there, and still outlasted all the women and a couple men! Although I would have been happy for Allen too, he is clearly the strongest guy there (and also in the best shape) so I don’t want to see him win all the immunity challenges. Although, I’m really wondering if he gave up a little to give the win to Dan. Either way, I was happy with the result.

And, whether it was strategy or not (pretty sure it was at least a little bit) I think Dan’s in the best position for next week. He’s bound to pull a big number!

So, although I would have loved to see Tracey go home over ANYONE, I was okay seeing either Julio or the black team go. I’m not attached to either of them. However, did anyone else guess that Tracey would win over Mo, and get to send home his best friend in the house, over hers. Big surprise. I’m beginning to get bugged just as much by Mo, because he’s a total pushover, and goes along with whatever Tracey wants. (You know, he may know something we don’t, and may possibly fear for his life in his sleep- who knows what his absolutely cuckoo partner will do next!)
