I figured from the flashback intro–hilarious, by the way, that his dad would lock his eleven year old son in the trunk of a car to practice kicking out a tail light–that Shawn was going to be stuck in the trunk of a car, but I figured it would be illustrating a point in a case or something.  I certainly didn’t think HE would be the one kidnapped and shot while doing it!

Big phew that Gus was there to interpret the cryptic text message.  Even better that he was there in his train/plane/car (what IS on there anyway?) PJ’s.  “Son, are you wearing children’s pajamas?”  I loved it when that old guy called him out on it, and I loved it even more that Gus had no shame about having them on.  Gus really is like a little kid sometimes.  I think that’s why he’s so likable as a character, though.

Anyway, the “I love you” phonecall to Juliet was awesome.  Right up until he said Abigail’s name at the very end.  You know she would have said it back if it hadn’t been for that!  Poor Juliet, man.  I wish Shawn would just figure it out already. Alas, I’ll have to wait until January. . .
