America’s Next Top Model: Let’s Go Surfing
I know we’re half way through the season but I think we can pick up here and still be OK. I feel like I know the girls better anyway so now is when it starts getting fun.
Does anyone else think it’s weird that they moved to Hawaii? Don’t they usually move somewhere that is a major fashion capital? Or at least a major new fashion stop. Not that Hawaii isn’t great but I didn’t know they were a mecca for the fashionable. It’ll make for some pretty photo shoots though.
First of all let me get something off of my chest. I don’t like this season with the short girls. Call me a sexist pig but I like my models leggy and tall. I’m not saying these girls aren’t pretty but when I saw them on the runway with the taller models they just looked short. They stood out and I didn’t like it.
Also, on all the other seasons Tyra harps on the shorter girls to always wear heels. Always. But this season she hasn’t said it once. Why? I don’t know but it is seriously driving me crazy. Why the double standard? I want to scream every time the girls come into the judging room and they are all wearing flats.
Now on to the girls. I have two favorites. I really like Nicole though she is a little on the strange side. That’s actually what I like about her. That and her beautiful red hair. I’m a sucker for red hair. I also like Jennifer. I can’t remember what races she was last night but she looked so beautiful.
Erin drives me crazy. How dare she complain about getting a stunning helicopter ride for her reward. What a spoiled brat. She said she would have rather had dinner? What the what? Darn her for taking pretty pictures and sticking around so long.
I don’t have any predictions of who is going to win. Do you or is it too soon?

I’m almost 5’1″, so I was excited to see short girls getting a shot this season.
I’ve been extremely disappointed.
I think that all the girls have been asked to wear flats to the judging room, but that’s not something that they’ve said on TV. Probably because Tyra wants to see how tall they all are. Because as a short girl, I RARELY wear flats. I hate to emphasize my lack of height, and heels make my legs look so much better! Also, I’ve noticed a lot of the girls simply showing up in flip flops. I think under normal circumstances Tyra would FLIP if a model showed up like that, but with these girls, she’s asked them to.
It honestly makes me kinda mad. We all know they’re shorter. They should be allowed to minimize that as much as possible.
Anyway………….rant over.
) I think Nicole has a good shot at winning. I also really like Sundai — probably because she’s the shortest. I like her spunk, too. But I think Laura’s a dark horse. You would NEVER guess she’s a model, then she pulls out great pictures. I’m not even sure if she’s been in the bottom two.
I don’t know why they went to Hawaii. It’s possible that after 14 or however many cylces they’re out of new high-fashion places to go. Also, they’ve already done the go-sees, which is usually something they do once they’ve traveled and therefore need a fashion-forward place. But at the same time, surfing and swimsuit pics are better for tall models, so hawaii doesn’t seem like the best place.
Who knows. Tyra’s a little crazy.
