The Vampire Diaries: History Repeating

THE VAMPIRE DIARIESWell, I don’t know if I’ve said it on this blog before but ghosts scare the living crap out of me.  Vampires, werewolves, witches, demons… no problem.  Ghosts?  Yikes.  I had shivers going up and down my body for a good chunk of this episode.  Especially when Bonnie was possessed by Emily.  I just about freaked out and turned the show off.  Possession scares me even more than ghosts by themselves.   And seances?  Triple threat.  Scary episode.

So good, Emily destroyed the necklace that could bring back Katherine and 27 other vampires.  Could you imagine the havoc they would cause if they were to be let out of whatever holding cell they’re in?  I finally just got that all the people burned in the church were vampires.  I honest to goodness hadn’t figured that out until they spelled it out for me.

I’m glad we have a new history teacher vampire to cause trouble now that Damon for this week has changed his ways.  Can’t wait to see what kind of havoc he wreaks.  I’m not so happy to have the aunt be a bigger part of the story.  She’s always rubbed me the wrong way.

How weird is it to have Jeremy be so subdued?  Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy he’s happy but it’s such a stark contrast it’s kind of hard to swallow.  I wonder if the coercion is going to wear off or maybe Damon or the new vampire teacher will override it.

Scary but great episode.  Anyone else freaked out about ghosts?

The Vampire Diaries is on Thursdays at 8pm on The CW.
