Amazing Race 15: “Are you a candelabra?”
I hate it when I love a “laidback” team like Gary and Matt. Much as I love them, I’m always scared that their more relaxed nature will get them in trouble. I will miss Gary’s Minnesota accent–the way he said “sauna” was cracking me up–and Matt’s pink hair. Sniff, sniff. Much as I love them, however, I wanted to smack Matt upside the head for not knowing what a candelabra is! Oh well, at least they got to hang out in the saunabus. How cool was that?
Meanwhile Meghan and Cheyne showed just how sporty they are by winning the volleyball–which looked ridiculously hard in that mud, by the way– in what appeared to be a much shorter time than the other teams. They are tough competitors, but I don’t feel very strongly about them one way or the other. I don’t love them, but I also don’t hate them. They’re so solid as a team; they’re just not all that interesting. I would pay good money to have legs like Meghan’s, however. Wow. She was the only one rocking the underwear out there.
The Globetrotters/Gay Brothers rivalry was getting kind of old by the end of the show, considering they all but drove that one into the ground. Clearly they were trying to build up for the big fall at the end, but when they showed the footage the second time it really did look like an accident. Flight Time was trying to pass Dan, tripped and fell, and accidentally brought Dan down with him. Really not that big of a deal. Or maybe I’m just biased because I like the Globetrotters way more than I do the brothers.
Amazing Race is on CBS, Sundays at 8 pm.

I side with the Globetrotters as well though I’m not sure why they were so mad they couldn’t talk at the end. That seems excessive. But I would totally believe the brother threw an elbow. Totally. I sure hope the Globetrotters win.

Well, I have no real attachment to Meghan and Cheyne either, but, I always respect a good team. And I think they’re a really good team and definitely deserve to be in the finals. In fact, I think they have earned their spot, vs. Sam/Dan, and the Globetrotters falling into the occasional luck. I do really hope the Globetrotters or Meghan/Cheyne win it.
Really want Brian and Ericka to go home next, although I would be OK if it was the brothers. Next week determines who races in the finale… so cross your fingers!
