Smallville: Pandora

SMALLVILLEI’m sick so I had to watch this twice because I honest to goodness didn’t remember a single thing that happened during the show.  I’m glad I did because this was a biggie.

So Lois goes to the future and find the towers built and a red sun.  Zod and his minions rule over the humans and it’s not looking so great.

Did you have any idea Tess was such an environmentalist?  I must have totally missed it when they explained that to us before because she sold out the human race to save the Earth.  That’s hard core.  I think when she saw she was going to die she still hadn’t changed her mind.  Maybe I’m wrong but my guess is she’ll still try to find a way to side with Zod.  Just because she’s Tess.

And can I get and Amen?  I finally get my Lois and Clark.  Taking it slow.  Well that’s TV slow, right?  They’ll be hooking up by next week.  When they held hands in the elevator I just about died with happiness.  Yay, Lois and Clark!

But what was up with Zod at the end?   Why did he make everyone kneel down before Clark?  What’s his angle?  Is he feigning respect when all he wants to do is kill him?  He was pissed off at Jor-El why would he feel differently about his son when Zod’s own son died?  I think it’s an act.  I know it’s Clark and he can do anything but I just can’t imagine him convincing Zod to live an ordinary life.

Am I being too cynical?

Smallville is on Fridays at 8pm on The CW.
