The Biggest Loser 8: Finale
This is another one of those shows that I didn’t really care who won as long as it wasn’t a certain person. That person is Rudy. He just really rubbed me the wrong way. So Amanda or Danny, it didn’t matter to me. But we’ll get to that in a little bit.
Let’s talk about the at home winner for a sec. Wow. Rebecca looked awesome. Except for her hair. Why did she choose that ugly blonde instead of platinum? Big mistake as far as I’m concerned but she looked amazing. I’m so glad she won.
Then we have a proposal. I didn’t even know they were dating but I guess it’s pretty serious if they’re getting married. I loved her reaction. She was so happy and surprised and I just loved watching it.
Then Shay gets $1000 for every pound she loses. If that’s not motivation I don’t know what is. I bet her husband kicks her out of bed in the morning from now on so she can get a workout before work. She has the possibility of winning a freaking ton of money and getting healthy to boot. Incredible.
OK, now for the big winner. Danny looked like a different person altogether. Can you believe how young he looked. The finale is always so rewarding as a viewer because last week everyone was still pretty heavy.
So, did the best man win?
Well we don’t have long to wait for the next season. It airs January 5th at 8pm on NBC.

I was shocked in particular by Julio, Tracey, Rebecca and Danny. They didn’t look like the same people at all. You know how some people lose too much weight? Like ?Helen? last year? The skin just sags off their face and ages them? That was true for Tracey this year. I mean, rockin’ bod, but she needed some more padding in her face.
Rebecca looked STUNNING, but more like Ellen Barkin!! Don’t you think she looked really old?

Agreed, WW. Tracey reminded me of Helen. They have done studies that when you’re young, a little extra weight makes you look older. But when you’re older, a little padding makes you look younger. I was SO happy when Rebecca beat out Tracey for the at-home prize. That is ALL I cared about… sadly.
But, Julio and Danny both looked like different people. (And Rebecca.) I actually thought, wait, who’s that?
But, overall, that was one of the best possible outcomes. I just was so bugged by Rudy that I just didn’t want him to win. So happy for Danny!!
And I can’t wait to see what Shay does with her incentive! That is awesome!

That’s so funny because Ben LOVED Rudy, and I loved Danny so we were totally arguing during the results show. He was so upset Rudy didn’t win- I couldn’t believe how fantastic Danny looked, and I totally agree with you about Rebecca, that hair was just bad. I can’t wait for next season and all the personal drama with the couples. I’m so glad the contestants keep getting bigger- it makes for a much better results show.
