The Biggest Loser 9: Week 2
Did you see how thin that balance beam was they had to walk across? I’m amazed any of them even finished the challenge. It would have been ridiculously hard for me to do and I’m not carrying around 100 extra pounds.
When Maria fell down my initial reaction was that it couldn’t have been that bad but wow, she really got hurt. I was shocked at how much blood was coming out of her. Knowing that she was injured I was amazed at how much weight she lost. Incredible.
And I guess Maria was a main focus of the show this week but if she was really that scared of water, which it sure seemed like she was, doggy paddling across the pool is crazy. I don’t know how much time they were actually in the pool before she did that but it was less than a day at least. That’s a huge thing to do.
It came to the end and I didn’t really care again who went home. It sure seems like Patti really took care of everyone though. And I saw that her goal was to be off her meds by the finale and have no diabetes. That would be awesome. I like that she’s looking at it from a health point of view.
Any favorites yet?
The Biggest Loser is on Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.

I actually found the situation with Maria kind of comical. I realize that she was facing a major fear, which wasn’t why I laughed. The issue was that she worked herself into a panic attack, freaked out, and caused herself a black eye and bloody nose. I know they take extra precautions with them medically, but was the ambulance to the hospital really necessary?
Yeah, I didn’t really care who went home either. And I still don’t have a favorite. I usually root for the person who has it the worst. I just want to see the biggest ones lose a lot of weight. So, I really hope John does well, Italian boy (can’t remember anyone’s names…) and the daughter on the pink team. I just look at her and want her to succeed so she can have a social life and feel good about herself.
