How do I love Twilight? Let me count the ways. I’m Alisa and if you haven’t read any of my posts from Breaking Dawn you wont have any idea of the emotional connection I have to these books but other than that I’m a sucker for a good vampire. They’re just so darn sexy. And to have Bella be so much like me and Edward so much like Scott is too good to be true. It makes me gooey inside just thinking about it. We do not however have a Scalisa running around the house. Just normal kids. These books have brought days of reading enjoyment to my life. And to think, I wasn’t going to read them because Stephenie was Mormon. Oh, cringe. I would have missed out on so much. The best thing is that it brought Julianne, Laura and I closer together. Any book that can bring you that, is a book worth being obsessed about. – Alisa

There was so much hype surrounding this book series that I resisted reading it for months. Thankfully Alisa kept bugging me, however, and I finally gave in. Let’s just say, Twilight had me at hello. Loved the noble, moral vampire resisting his nature just as much as I loved the forced-to-grow-up-fast, clumsy, new girl who always feels out of place. And their impossible attraction for each other was just way too much fun. This series is the first in a while where as soon as I finished reading, I wanted to pick them up and read them again. – Julianne
I’ve read the Twilight series an embarrassing number of times, and every time I read them, I fall in love all over again. Alisa was the one that hooked me as well- I mean Vampires? Really? I’m still a little shocked that I can love them as much as I do. My favorite book (by far) is Breaking Dawn. That’s when Stephenie Meyer finally had me completely. – Laura
I usually run for the hills when any type of trend starts. It took me two years to pick up the book because “I just don’t read books about vampires”~insert nose in the air. Then a friend whom I trust wholeheartedly said “Jen, you MUST read this book”. That was it, I was hooked. For me it is all about EDWARD. If he were not the dashing, romantic, selfless vampire he is I would not be obsessed with this series and movie. Once he “bit” me there was no going back. I am lucky to have a hubby that fully understands this “other man (vampire)” in our lives. – Jen
I am a working mom with three fabulous kids ages 11, 12, & 13. Hubby and I own a western store that is up for sale now and I am looking forward to moving from the fast paced Claifornia lifestyle to slow and steady Texas. The best part is that I am going to be a stay at home Mom again. I am also a writer in my spare time and I fell completely in love with Stephenie Meyer’s incredible writing and of course..ahem, Edward. The best part of Twilight is that I get to share it with my girls,11 & 13. We have had a blast talking Twilight and going together for a chick flick together. – Tammy
I had a friend recommend Twilight to me a long time ago. I bought it. I put it on the shelf and left it there. It stayed there a long time. I thought, “Seriously, why read a book about vampires? Seems weird.” Then finally she pushed hard enough to have the first one be a part of our book club. So I thought, great, I’ll read 100 pages and they can fill me in on the rest. That was it. That’s the moment when my life as a Mom and Wife disappeared and my life as a Twilight reader began. I think it stayed that way for the next 6 days so I could get through all 3 books. I have yet been able to accurately express my adoration with these books. Is it Edward~ Yes! Is it the love story between these young lovers~ Of course! But it’s so much more and I can never really explain why. I cry when I read them. Not when something horrible happens, per se, but just because I love reading about the love between characters. Mostly Edward and Bella but others as well. Like Laura before me, I realize each time I read them why I love them so much. I read other books and they can even be great. But just nothing compares to these. I get excited for the day when my girls are going to want to read them. We will have some extreme bonding when that day comes. – Laura
I got hooked on Twilight after I had 3 friends in 1 week tell me about it. So, I bought the first book online, and made the mistake of not buying all 3! I bought the second, borrowed the 3rd… and finished all 3 within a week! (Then I sadly had to wait months for #4) I’ve never been one to love reading anything- until I read Twilight. I don’t even know exactly what it is about it- maybe that the fantasy world can seem so real! Or maybe it’s remembering exactly what it felt like to be a teenager in love for the first time. Whatever it is, I can’t get enough!!! – Elaine
