About Us
Hi, I’m Alisa. I love media. I love trashy reality shows and really anything fantasy. I don’t like my media too reality based. Witches, wizards, vampires, fairies, elves, hobbits, that’s what I’m all about. I also like watching people make fools out of themselves for money. Oh what people wont do for some cash. So now you probably want to know a little about me. I grew up here in Sunnyvale, Santa Clara actually, and have lived here my whole life. I have a wonderful husband, Scott and we have three rambunctious boys. That’s me in a nutshell. Happy blogging!

Born and raised in Seattle, I am now happily replanted in the Bay area with my husband and two boys. I graduated from the Y, served a mission in Guatemala, and taught high school in both UT and CA. Always looking for good books and movies, I can’t wait to get some ideas from this blog and its readers. As for my pop culture indulgences: eighties, Austen, all things Twilight, foreign, musical, teen drama, Chris Farley/SNL, spy thrillers, mockumentaries, and even the occasional superhero.
I’m Laura and this is my armpit photo of myself because I couldn’t wrangle my husband into taking a better one of me. I LOVE to travel and my reading is influenced by that. Books are my escape from the outside world- I don’t think I need a gym so much as a good Austen novel and a plate of pecan sandies. I’ll read anything, but I have a fear of books that have too many raw emotions attached to them (it makes my husband nervous when he see’s me crying over a book). I love VH1 programming (the trashier the better) with occasional forays into BRAVO and TLC. I have two crazy little girls(with another on the way) and an even crazier husband, who are all so high maintenance that I don’t get as much computer time as I would like. I hope you enjoy our blog!

I’m Elaine. I will always consider Portland to be my first home. But I now live in Sunnyvale with my husband and twin girls. And we couldn’t love it more. Being a stay-at-home-mom with a husband who works a lot gives me plenty of time to find all the best (and worst) media out there. I absolutely love reality TV. “Amazing Race” and “So You Think You Can Dance” are in my top favorites. And I am a cult follower of “The Office.” I’m excited to be a part of “Blog the Day Away,” where I can watch, read, blog, and share my favorite pastimes with good friends!
