I don’t know how many people out there got into Parks and Rec, and then may have been a little disappointed by the first season, but I was one of those. It felt like it was trying to be another version of The Office, and it was falling short. However, this second season has not only been a major improvement, I find it much funnier than The Office, as well as many other shows that have lost their “spark.”

They’ve brought in new characters, played by Rob Lowe (hilarious!) and Adam Scott. The new sexual tension between Leslie and Ben is so great! And since office romances were specifically said to be inappropriate, it makes it even better!

Last night’s episode was one of favorites. I seriously watched it 3 times and laughed harder every time. Leslie, after being rejected by Ben, decides to try online dating. She is matched up with Tom, the office pervert. I included one of my favorite scenes from the episode. After being matched up, Tom is getting under Leslie’s skin, by playing up their potential (98%) match! Leslie finally shuts him up.

If you’re not into Parks and Rec, check it out… who’s on board with me?!

Louis C.K. is a comedian and to be honest I’m only familiar with him from Conan but both times I’ve seen him he’s been really funny. I can’t embed the clip here. It’s “not permitted.” Suck. But I’m leaving you guys a link that I sincerely hope you follow. Lois C.K. on Youtube.

In this clip, which I hope you watched Lois is talking about the way we react to technology that is really helping us but we’re too caught up in ourselves to notice the beauty of it. All I know is every time I’m out of the house and I’m waiting in line or waiting for my kid to get out of school or at the dentist or whatever I want internet connection. It is not an option for me actually read a magazine or just sit and wait. Gosh darnit if I can’t use facebook or Google Reader I get royally pissed off. How ridiculous is that. I feel so entitled to internet access that it more often than not puts me in a bad mood. Heaven forbid I bring a book with me.

And when I do get internet access if it’s not screaming fast it’s like an affront to me personally. I can’t believe I have to wait one minute for facebook to load. One minute when I could have been checking profiles or changing my status. How hilarious is it when Loius says “It’s going to space!” Hilarious. I don’t care how far my signal has to travel as long as it comes back so fast I don’t even realize it’s gone. Not any more though now I think about Lois’s sketch and crack up.

If you haven’t checked it out yet please do. It’s great.

I also noticed he’s going to be in a movie coming up called The Invention of Lying which looks so funny. Especially since it’s got Ricky Gervais from Britain’s The Office.

So tell me have you guys known about Louis C.K. this whole time and no one ever told me?
