Pushing Daisies – Comfort Food

So Laura, we got lucky.  Dwight was standing by and bit the dust.  Good call.  I couldn’t believe it actually happened.  I thought he was going to cause some major problems.  Major problems.  It’s almost anti-climatic that he’s dead but since the show is ending soon I guess I’m glad that one issue is wrapped up.  It was hilarious to me when he was coming back to life in Chuck’s imagination.  The first time it happened I thought he was really alive and just faking death.  I loved when Chuck threw the shovel full of dirt on his face to make him shut up.

I’m really glad we got to see Chuck and Ned talk to Chuck’s father.  I was surprised that he stayed alive.  I didn’t think Ned would allow it so it surprised me that Chuck was able to fool him by putting a glove on his hand.  You’d think Ned would notice but maybe he was so disturbed by the whole situation that it slid past him.  I really loved when they showed Ned and Chuck curled up together in bed.  Although, I looked at Ned’s arm wrapped in plastic and just thought about how sweaty and uncomfortable that would be.  I’m so unromantic.

I absolutely loved the Comfort Food Cook-Off.  How fun was it to have all the different cooking spaces decorated and the contestants in costume?  I loved when the fried dead guy ate a piece of fried matter from his arm.  Too funny.  And Olive singing was amazing.  She is a really gifted actress.  They’re lucky to have her on the show though I’m sad that her character is back to pining over Ned.  I had hoped for her sake that she was over him.  Oh, well.

I’m glad there’s another show next week so we can see how Ned reacts to Chuck’s dad.  That’s gonna be a sticky situation.  What do you think he’s going to do?

The Biggest Loser – Week 10

I don’t have too much to say this week.  I’m not a fan of the makeover show.  Not really sure why.  I guess I just think the finale should be the makeover not when they still have weight to lose.  Although I’m sure it’s a huge treat for them, so what do I know?  I will say though that I do not like Vicky’s red hair.  I have some really mean comments in my head right now but I’m going to keep them to myself.  And why didn’t they bring Brady back for her to hang out with?  Is it too close to the unveiling at the finale?  I didn’t get that.

I did feel bad for her and at the same time think it was hilarious that Vicky was stuck up in that box above the water.  I had wondered if it wasn’t strategic so that all the other players would view her as a weak opponent.  I don’t know though because Bob seemed to extract some pretty deep crap out of the experience.  It’s just so hard to look at her as anything but a manipulator at this point.  Maybe she’s playing it clean now but why would she change her game plan at the end?

And were you as mad as I was when Renee and Ed were the bottom two and you just knew who was going home?  All I kept thinking was if Amy had stuck to her guns and voted out Vicky this would not be happening.  Oh, I’m still mad at Amy for being such a coward.

I’m still hoping for Michelle.  I don’t know how that’s going to turn out though.  Who’s your pick for The Biggest Loser?
