So You Think You Can Dance 6: Top 8 Results
Well, I guess after watching The Biggest Loser Finale, and then watching Glee’s finale, I knew I couldn’t have it all go my way. And the results last night were pretty much the opposite of what I would have liked to have happen. Granted, my ultimate favorites made the finale. However, looking back, I really think it should have been Ashleigh who went home. I know it’s not fair that she go home just because she didn’t dance. BUT, it’s not fair that she gets to slide right through, and 2 of the people who had the BEST routines of the season went home.
Yes, I realize that’s my opinion. But did you see how absolutely shocked Adam was to see Mollee go home? I agree with everything he said… she peaked last night, but apparently it was just too late. And I don’t think I have ever, in the history of So You Think You Can Dance, seen anyone cry as hard as Mollee did last night. It was heart-breaking to see her sobbing. I know she’s never been one of my favorites. (I think she initially came off as too young and immature.) But I probably would have chosen her over Ashleigh and Kathryn. Even though she’s young and bubbly, I think she has more personality than Kathryn.
And Legacy wasn’t the best dancer ever… but if you compared his and Ryan’s solo- really?! Come on. Legacy is amazing to watch. I think Ryan was the only one to do the exact same solo as the night before. Everyone else had something new. Lame.
Well, I hope the finale makes up for my disappointment this week. How about you? Are any of your favorites left?

Yay! THIS is the episode I have been waiting for all season… when everything hits the fan! I mean, tension can be enjoyable, because it keeps you wanting more. But, I have been waiting for Finn to find out about Quinn and Puck, for Will to find out about his wife, (yes- last week…) and for Will and Emma to kiss! Yay! And on top of that, the ending Kelly Clarkson remake was one of my favorites! (Especially with the montage of all of their songs/routines they did…)
Finally!! A night full of routines that I LOVED. And I didn’t just love them. Two of the routines were, hands-down!, my favorite routines of the season… even make my top 5 favorites of all time. Those routines were the Viennese waltz, performed by Jakob and Mollee, and the contemporary “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” routine performed by Legacy and Ellenore. I thought both were absolutely fabulous! I really don’t have much else to say. I just loved them! It finally made watching the show fun again! (I’ve been so bored lately).
This is another one of those shows that I didn’t really care who won as long as it wasn’t a certain person. That person is Rudy. He just really rubbed me the wrong way. So Amanda or Danny, it didn’t matter to me. But we’ll get to that in a little bit.
Well leave it to Sheldon to think of teaching Penny as training a gorilla to do sign language. Only the gorilla could learn way more than Penny possibly could. ”It’s a warm summer evening…”
I could not be more happy with the way Sunday’s finale turned out. I know last week I was rooting for Ericka and Brian but woah did I do a quick turn around at the Cirque de Soliel challenge. What is wrong with Ericka? She completely lost it and lost it big time. I was hoping they never finished the challenge and Phil would have to come find them there hours after the finale and tell them it was over. They were an annoying couple from the get go but I like underdogs so I was on their side last week but that is over. Allegiances switched.
What an emotional episode. From Kat trying and failing to use her powers to finally figuring them out in the end. Wow. When Mia slipped under the water I thought to myself, they wouldn’t do this to Roxie would they? The makeup was so real and she just flew under the ice. I get creeped out just thinking about it.
I was pretty bored with the first little bit of the show but was really touched when Bob and Jillian went and visited everyone at home. I really felt for the contestants and their struggles. I guess it never impacted me before how difficult it would be to go from The Ranch and try to fit back in at home when they’ve been plugging along and probably struggling without you. Not to mention changing their eating and work out habits. Man, I really got it this time around.
Suck. Suck. Suck. Suck. I hate the brothers now. It was just mild to moderate contempt before but I HATE them now. I cannot believe Dan just left Big Easy like that. What a total (I’m going to say something a lot nicer than I’m thinking here) jerk wad. I don’t really care who wins now as long as it’s not them. The funny thing is I’m usually all for sneaky teams but those two are just jerks.
What is Suze Orman doing on a weight loss show? I don’t know but I skipped her anyways so it doesn’t matter to me. And yes the challenge with Suze was more difficult because they were on the treadmills but that was so boring. They hyped it to be exciting and challenging and it wasn’t.
Well, I will say that I’m not as into the Twilight Series as I used to be. I know. Major shocker. I’m not saying that I don’t still love it and cherish all of my Twilight related memories, I’m just not gaga over it right now. That’s not to say I can’t be again in the future. I’m telling you this so you understand my perspective coming into the movie this time.
Oh the humanity! We got a little too personal with Wolowitz last night. The scene with Cara from Battlestar Gallactica (love that show and love Cara) was hilarious and revolting at the same time. Especially with Howard’s mother screaming at him from the background. Oh gross. Major bad shivers. I mean really, he’s got a girl that wants to actually spend some time with him and he’s just going to blow her off?
What an emotional episode. Normally I’m pretty detached watching Seeker but not this week. Wow. I mean you hear about the Mord’Siths. Things that happen during their training but to see it is painful. Now I love Cara. I loved her before this episode but I for sure love her now.
I’m sick so I had to watch this twice because I honest to goodness didn’t remember a single thing that happened during the show. I’m glad I did because this was a biggie.
What a great sneaky episode. I loved the kayak course. Why did I love it? Because the brothers sucked at it. I loved watching them tip over time and time again. If only Brian and Ericka hadn’t been so behind they could have left the in the dust. Oh I can’t stand Sam and Dan. And then to take Brian and Ericka’s taxi was cold hearted. I have to be honest, if someone would have taken the brothers taxi I probably wouldn’t be bothered but the fact that they did it pissed me off.
As I was watching the show I thought the title referred to Stefan’s turning point not to leave but oh boy I didn’t expect it to be Elena finding Katherine’s picture. I mean, we all knew she was going to find out eventually, right? It was inevitable. I’m just glad I didn’t pay attention to last weeks preview, if they showed it, because it was a great twist for me. And she left the necklace behind. Bye, bye Stefan.
Okay, I do not usually flip like this, but the last 3 episodes have been some of the greatest in Survivor history. (They even rival the very best episode ever, when Randy was blindsided.) Russell drove me crazy for the first few weeks, and now, every time he finds an idol, it is the most entertaining thing ever, and I can’t help but root for him! My favorite quote of the night came from Russell, who said regarding the blindside of Kelly, “That was almost as great as my kids being born.”
I have to say, I really enjoyed this episode… more so than many of them in the past. The school-girl crush was absolutely hilarious- both Suzie Pepper (was that her name?) and Rachel. Of course high schoolers have crushes on the young, good-looking teachers. I still remember the one young male teacher when I was a Senior, and all the girls had a crush on him. (However, he was also married, and no one was dumb enough to actually flirt with him!) And no one would be so clueless to not get his awesome mash-up ballad: “Young Girl/Don’t Stand So Close to Me.” Loved it!!
