**SPOILER ALERT**  We talk in depth about all of our shows so be warned.

Louis C.K.

Picture 1Louis C.K. is a comedian and to be honest I’m only familiar with him from Conan but both times I’ve seen him he’s been really funny.  I can’t embed the clip here.  It’s “not permitted.”  Suck.  But I’m leaving you guys a link that I sincerely hope you follow. Lois C.K. on Youtube.

In this clip, which I hope you watched Lois is talking about the way we react to technology that is really helping us but we’re too caught up in ourselves to notice the beauty of it.  All I know is every time I’m out of the house and I’m waiting in line or waiting for my kid to get out of school or at the dentist or whatever I want internet connection.  It is not an option for me actually read a magazine or just sit and wait.  Gosh darnit if I can’t use facebook or Google Reader I get royally pissed off.  How ridiculous is that.  I feel so entitled to internet access that it more often than not puts me in a bad mood.  Heaven forbid I bring a book with me.

And when I do get internet access if it’s not screaming fast it’s like an affront to me personally.  I can’t believe I have to wait one minute for facebook to load.  One minute when I could have been checking profiles or changing my status.  How hilarious is it when Loius says “It’s going to space!”  Hilarious.  I don’t care how far my signal has to travel as long as it comes back so fast I don’t even realize it’s gone.  Not any more though now I think about Lois’s sketch and crack up.

If you haven’t checked it out yet please do.  It’s great.

I also noticed he’s going to be in a movie coming up called The Invention of Lying which looks so funny.  Especially since it’s got Ricky Gervais from Britain’s The Office.

So tell me have you guys known about Louis C.K. this whole time and no one ever told me?

30 Rock: Retreat to Move Forward

rok_309_02I totally did not get the joke that is the theme of the corporate retreat until I typed it above.  Retreat to move forward. Hilarious.  At the retreat we meet the Six Sigmas of business:  Teamwork, Insight, Brutality, Male Enhancement, Handshakefullness and Play Hard.  They turn out to be real stiffs and ask Jack to keep Lemon in check who is being a too friendly.

It was so funny to me when Jack told Lemon to tone it down and she went off on him that he said “I give you a simple managerial suggestion and you hand me half a Judy Bloom novel.”  Lemon stepping in and making a fool of herself to save Jack’s credibility was great.  ”Remember when the bra girl went crazy?”

I’m glad I watched the show so I know that diabetes is caused by sleeping on your back and not diet.  I sleep on my side and eat all the cake I can get my hands on so I’m totally in the clear.  Tracy thinking it would be a good thing to lose his foot so he could replace it with a wheel is so ridiculous it hurts.

Then we have Jenna and Frank.  Is Frank doing it with all the girls in the studio?  I don’t know but it was fabulous to watch Jenna run around like a witch and Tracy and Ken stuffing their faces with vegetables.

Anyone want to go to C.L.A.S.S. with me? (Consuming Lunch and Simple Socializing.) Adoy!

30 Rock is on Thurdsays at 9pm PST on NBC.
