Glee: Sectionals
Yay! THIS is the episode I have been waiting for all season… when everything hits the fan! I mean, tension can be enjoyable, because it keeps you wanting more. But, I have been waiting for Finn to find out about Quinn and Puck, for Will to find out about his wife, (yes- last week…) and for Will and Emma to kiss! Yay! And on top of that, the ending Kelly Clarkson remake was one of my favorites! (Especially with the montage of all of their songs/routines they did…)
This will be the shortest post ever… but that’s really all I have to say. I loved the episode. And I’m really sad that we have to wait for the Spring for it to air again. (I’m sure because of American Idol…) Ellen Degeneres had better make American Idol worth watching in place of Glee.
So, did you like it as much as I did? We’ll keep you posted in the Spring about air times/days.

I have to say, I really enjoyed this episode… more so than many of them in the past. The school-girl crush was absolutely hilarious- both Suzie Pepper (was that her name?) and Rachel. Of course high schoolers have crushes on the young, good-looking teachers. I still remember the one young male teacher when I was a Senior, and all the girls had a crush on him. (However, he was also married, and no one was dumb enough to actually flirt with him!) And no one would be so clueless to not get his awesome mash-up ballad: “Young Girl/Don’t Stand So Close to Me.” Loved it!!
I actually think this may have been my favorite episode so far. Between all the (mostly) fun songs, seeing very little of Terri and Quinn, and having Kristen Chenowith guest star, I thought it was great. I love Chenowith- mostly from Wicked and Pushing Daisies. But she has really begun to make a name for herself in Hollywood, and I think she’s fabulous. Both as a singer and an actress. I was a little skeptical about her singing pop songs… she clearly has a voice for Broadway. (It was very evident when she sang the Cabaret song.) But I loved her and Will’s karaoke duet.
When Quinn told Finn (huh- rhyming names…) that she was pregnant, my first thought was, “Why is everyone lying about being pregnant?!” And then, about 10 minutes later, I pretty much guessed what the real story was. Big surprise… president of the Celibacy Club is not exactly celibate. And nor is she faithful to her boyfriend. Still, who is dumb enough to think that someone can get pregnant in a hot tub, without having sex?! I wonder how long that lie will last. But even funnier, is Terri going to try and adopt Quinn’s baby? All while keeping her pregnancy a lie? This is getting good… But as my husband pointed out to me last night, the only problem with this show is the “unrealistic” factor. What husband is never going to touch his wife’s belly for an entire pregnancy? What wife could possibly carry out a lie of that magnitude for 9 months? What guy would believe he could get a girl pregnant, in a hot tub, without having sex? Anyway… I’m trying to not think about that factor so as to be able to keep enjoying the show.
Okay, any doubts I may have had last week were completely dissolved in watching the episode last night. And, I’m seeing a theme emerge from each episode. As last week was all about sex, this week was about guts. So, I’m all in, and totally loving it!
For a pilot Glee was pretty spectacular. I hope that means really good things are to come. So in case you missed last night’s show you can watch it
