Here Come the Newlyweds: “Who is going home with the money.”

e72aa46acf_ltphere05252009What a great final episode.  I loved the challenges for the cards to cancel out a vote.  The Corliss’ were freaking hilarious on the money one.  I want to be in their family if they are going to spend $5000 on a gift.  I don’t know how much money they make but crap they are big spenders.

I was so sad that we didn’t get to see more of the Huffmans and the Iengs.  I’m going to miss both of them.  Maybe they’ll show up on some other reality TV show in the future.  I don’t care what the other couples on the show think.  They are by far my favorites and I think they’ll make it because they’re perfect for each other.

How incredible was it that all three Opportunity cards actually worked in the couples favor?  It was an easy choice for the McMorris’ since they sent the Newberrys packing last week.   Really a no brainer but I can’t believe the Corliss’ chose the right person.  I never would have picked Matt Cox.  There must of been some insight that I didn’t have to make them choose him.

I am so happy that the Corliss’ won.  They were totally real to me and I just couldn’t relate to the McMoriss’.  I loved that the Corliss’ were the underdogs from the beginning but they were triumphant in the end.  This would have been a completely different post if things had gone differently.  There’s nothing like reality TV going the way you want it to.  It makes me feel so good.  Did it go the way you wanted it to?

Congratulations Marlo and Mark!

Here Come the Newlyweds: “Anniversaries, Wrinkles and Babies”

Picture 2Can you believe it’s only been a week?  It feels like at least two since my last post.  I loved that they aged the guys this episode.  It would have only been problematic to do the women.  I mean can you imagine looking at yourself in the mirror knowing that’s what life has in store for you.  I will definitely admit to being terrified of aging myself so that would have given me nightmares for the rest of my life.

Mark Corliss was hilarious though in his anniversary video.  I would have been pissed off too if I had been his wife.  Every other husband was making Marlo cry and then hers comes out and can pretty much only talk of their son going to jail and her farting.  Nice one.

And who hasn’t had trouble with those stupid pack and plays.  Those hinges never want to snap into place and you’ve got to keep the bottom pushed down before you can do anything.  I hated using those things.

I’ve told you before that I don’t care too much for any of the remaining couples but I think the Corliss’ are my favorite because their the underdogs and I’m a sucker for body art so they get my vote.  So I was a little bummed when the McMorris’ won but gave a sigh of relief when they picked the Corliss’ to stay next week.

Next week looks like a nail biter.  Totally intense.  Some confrontations.  Should be good.  I can’t wait to see the Huffman’s and the Ieng’s again.  I hope they get a lot of air time.

So who do you think is going to win?  I’m hoping for the Corliss’ getting the “I can’t believe you made it this far” votes.  Really, they haven’t won anything so I hope they pull it out at the end.  Who would you vote for if you had the chance?

Here Come the Newlyweds: “Oh My, I’ve Never Seen Him Like This.”

Picture 2How hilarious were the challenges last night?  I don’t think I could predict how many baskets my husband or myself would make.  Neither of us play basketball but I know at least I’ve made a basket or two in my lifetime so who knows how it would turn out when put on the spot.  It was so funny when Kenny was talking about all the college ball he played and then totally didn’t perform.  It’s always great when someone with experience at something falls short.

And the hypnotherapy was down right hysterical.  When Kenny fell right to sleep and his head dropped I was shocked but when Jed was sniffing around the other guys legs I just about died.  I thought it was interesting that the girls were able to fight it but the guys weren’t.  I’m glad it ended up that way because it was hilarious.

Oh ok, and also touching when the guys were bearing their souls to their wives.  Very sweet.

I am really shocked that the Corliss’ were safe again.  Don’t get me wrong their my favorite couple on there but they are so different from the other couples I just assumed that they would be going home.  Their room was actually my favorite room.  I loved the colors and the decorations.

Well, goodbye Hinkins.  All I can think right now is do they wish they had taken the money?  Now they have nothing.  Except a knife in the back from the McMorriss’.  At least they are excited to go home and see their dog.

Here Come the Newlyweds: “She Must Have a Tapeworm or Something.”

picture-25I’m just going to cut to the chase this week.  I am totally bummed that the Iengs went home.  Do these other couples have no sense of humor at all?  First the Huffmans and now the Iengs.  Why?  I honestly don’t care which of the couples left win because I could care less about them.

The only real surprise is that the Corliss weren’t in the bottom two.  My theory is that the Iengs were voting for them but switched to the Hinkins because they thought they were a threat.  I would have much rather seen the Hinkins go home than the Iengs.

I feel like the show is going to be boring now with the Iengs AND the Huffmans gone.  Who’s gonna bring the humor?  I think the Corliss are next though because they are the most different.

Sorry not to get too much into the show I’m just so mad right now.  So who do you  think is running the show?  Which couple is setting the bottom two up by telling the others what to do?  Or do you think they’re all just on the same page?

Here Come the Newlyweds: “Tattoos for kids, Really?”

213x120_new_couplesI can’t remember much from the questioning at the beginning of the show but I do remember that Brendan Huffman kisses like a chicken pecking at the ground.  I really like the Huffman’s sense of humor.  Sure she can be a little out of line but it’s funny.

The carnival challenge was really fun.  I couldn’t believe they all came up with different games and prizes.  I thought it was hilarious when the stereo the McMorris’ bought stopped working but the kids didn’t even care.  They just kept dancing.

It was hilarious when they showed Sarin Hinkins milking those kids for their money.  ”You want to try again?”  So funny.  It got them the win though.  And once again they chose safety over the $25,000.  Smart move.

In the end the Huffman’s went home which made me really sad but apparently the others didn’t enjoy their lighthearted antics.

The big wow though is that Corliss’ were in the bottom AGAIN but were safe.  Who do you think keeps voting for them? (OK, I have a confession to make.  I don’t actually watch the part of the show where they are all voting.  I skip right over that so maybe if I watched it I’d know who’s voting Corliss.)  It really only has to be one couple right?  If everyone else voted Huffman just one couple had to vote Corliss for them to end up in the bottom.  But like I said, I don’t watch it so I don’t know.

The Iengs are still by far my favorite couple but the Hinkins are really doing well.  Got a favorite yet?

Here Come the Newlyweds: “I know what a ho is.”

picture-1Oh man did I get mad this episode when everyone turned on the Iengs.  What was that all about?  So they use comedy to deal with life.  Who cares?  At least they’re fun to be around.

And how about the Tantric session?  I loved it.  I loved that Sonarak was totally moaning and making everyone else feel uncomfortable.  Hey, maybe that’s what got everyone turned against him.

And the shopping trip, which I believe they did last season too, is always funny.  I loved how Michelle would ask Sonocak if they needed certain items rather than just waiting for him to tell her.  So great.

But the Cox’s going home.  I guess that was a case of comedy gone wrong.  I blame it entirely on him too.  He just rubbed too many people the wrong way.  Good riddance for me.  I didn’t care about them at all.  I just hope the Iengs stay in it long enough for people to get to know and love them.

Were you surprised to see the Cox’s go home?

Here Come the Newlyweds: The Butt Grab

here-come-newlyweds-heroSo I got into this last season and thoroughly enjoyed it and I’m really glad it’s back for the Summer.  I forgot to blog last week so basically this is an extension of the Newlywed Game.  They take 9 sets of newlyweds and make them play ridiculously silly games to win money for the pot that someone will take home at the end of the season.  At the end of each show one couple is voted off.  There is an immunity challenge and the winning couple is given the couple between cash and immunity.  What’s happened most of the time is that if the couple chooses the money over immunity they get voted off immediately.  That’s exactly what happened last week.

I don’t know how they are going to top this week though.  They blindfolded each of the wives and made them pick out from a lineup by touch only, which butt was their husbands.  It was hilarious.  Some of the wives were practically giving physicals to all of the husbands.

Then the immunity challenge was to collect as many huge bugs as you can while again using only your hands.  The couple who collected the most bugs and chose immunity over the $15,000 was the Mormon couple.

My favorite couple are by far the Iengs.  They are downright hysterical.  They are totally my pick to win.

If you haven’t checked out this show it’s really cute.  Last season everyone got along pretty well so there wasn’t any Survivor like drama.  Just really fun.  Plus if you like watching Mormons on reality TV this is a great couple to watch.

Did you see the preview for next week?  Looks hilarious right?
