Here Come the Newlyweds: “Who is going home with the money.”
What a great final episode. I loved the challenges for the cards to cancel out a vote. The Corliss’ were freaking hilarious on the money one. I want to be in their family if they are going to spend $5000 on a gift. I don’t know how much money they make but crap they are big spenders.
I was so sad that we didn’t get to see more of the Huffmans and the Iengs. I’m going to miss both of them. Maybe they’ll show up on some other reality TV show in the future. I don’t care what the other couples on the show think. They are by far my favorites and I think they’ll make it because they’re perfect for each other.
How incredible was it that all three Opportunity cards actually worked in the couples favor? It was an easy choice for the McMorris’ since they sent the Newberrys packing last week. Really a no brainer but I can’t believe the Corliss’ chose the right person. I never would have picked Matt Cox. There must of been some insight that I didn’t have to make them choose him.
I am so happy that the Corliss’ won. They were totally real to me and I just couldn’t relate to the McMoriss’. I loved that the Corliss’ were the underdogs from the beginning but they were triumphant in the end. This would have been a completely different post if things had gone differently. There’s nothing like reality TV going the way you want it to. It makes me feel so good. Did it go the way you wanted it to?
Congratulations Marlo and Mark!

Can you believe it’s only been a week? It feels like at least two since my last post. I loved that they aged the guys this episode. It would have only been problematic to do the women. I mean can you imagine looking at yourself in the mirror knowing that’s what life has in store for you. I will definitely admit to being terrified of aging myself so that would have given me nightmares for the rest of my life.
How hilarious were the challenges last night? I don’t think I could predict how many baskets my husband or myself would make. Neither of us play basketball but I know at least I’ve made a basket or two in my lifetime so who knows how it would turn out when put on the spot. It was so funny when Kenny was talking about all the college ball he played and then totally didn’t perform. It’s always great when someone with experience at something falls short.
I’m just going to cut to the chase this week. I am totally bummed that the Iengs went home. Do these other couples have no sense of humor at all? First the Huffmans and now the Iengs. Why? I honestly don’t care which of the couples left win because I could care less about them.
I can’t remember much from the questioning at the beginning of the show but I do remember that Brendan Huffman kisses like a chicken pecking at the ground. I really like the Huffman’s sense of humor. Sure she can be a little out of line but it’s funny.
Oh man did I get mad this episode when everyone turned on the Iengs. What was that all about? So they use comedy to deal with life. Who cares? At least they’re fun to be around.
So I got into this last season and thoroughly enjoyed it and I’m really glad it’s back for the Summer. I forgot to blog last week so basically this is an extension of the Newlywed Game. They take 9 sets of newlyweds and make them play ridiculously silly games to win money for the pot that someone will take home at the end of the season. At the end of each show one couple is voted off. There is an immunity challenge and the winning couple is given the couple between cash and immunity. What’s happened most of the time is that if the couple chooses the money over immunity they get voted off immediately. That’s exactly what happened last week.
