Scrubs: Our Stuff Gets Real

f35380f5d4b324063d287185677404deI loved the walkie talkies with Turk and JD.  It was totally perfect that they both shut themselves in cabinets (what were those things?) at the end.

I was a little sad to see JD again because I had written him off but just seeing his crib was funny enough to make me forget.

I guess Jordan can come back intermittently because she’s on another ABC show (Cougar Town).  That makes me happy.  I was really missing her.  And I love that Lucy discovered that Jordan is the tough one in the relationship.  Did I mention that I really miss Jordan?

I wonder when Elliot is going to have her baby?  Did any of you go on a babymoon?

Scrubs is on Tuesdays at 9pm on ABC.

Scrubs: Our New Girl-Bro, Our White Coats and Our Couples

8faa1adf05bef0bba2f4c5b492c4724eWith three shows to blog about I’m obviously not going to get to everything.  Season 9 isn’t nearly as good as the original 8 seasons but it’s growing on me.  I still don’t like Lucy one bit so it’s frustrating that she’s such a vital character but I like everyone around her including Cole.  Does he look familiar to you?  That’s because he’s the little brother of Peter Parker’s (Spiderman) best friend in the recent movies.  Crazy right?  They have the same exact smile.

I actually was happy to see JD go.  Surprising, I know but he wasn’t adding anything to the new format of the show.  He was just reminding me how great it used to be so I’m happy he’s not a main character anymore.  And I’m happy that Turk found a kindred spirit in Denise.  The interviewing process for a new JD was hilarious though.

I really like Drew.  The more and more we learn about him the more I like him.  I’m glad he got to give him White Coats speech after all.  His relationship with Denise is my favorite but it kind of drives me nuts because it’s a replacement for Dr. Cox and Jordan.  Being mean to each other but loving each other at the same time.

I thought it was cute that Turk and Dr Cox were one of the couples highlighted on the show.  As the mom and dad.  And I loved the little saying they made each other say in public about each other.  ”Dr Coxy is so foxy.”  ”Toot toot tooty. Dr Turk’s a cutie.”

I was super mad though at the end when Lucy was laying down rules of what Cole couldn’t say.  Step off.  That’s what makes him awesome.  Just one more reason not to like her.

So my husband thinks because they are showing so many episodes and on different nights (last Friday) that the show is being cancelled.  It wouldn’t surprise me but like I said, the show is growing on me so I’d be sad to see it go.  I couldn’t find any information online that says it is being cancelled but I’m wondering if you’re getting the same vibe?

Scrubs is on Tuesdays at 9pm on ABC.

Scrubs: Our First Day of School and Our Drunk Friend

bbbdf13b93ef7f96b254e63c9fd8a3d9

You guys know I love Scrubs.  I watch the original series over and over and over again in reruns and I love it just as much today as I did when I first watched it.  So what the crap was that garbage that was on last night?   Remember a while back when Season 9 came out I complained because they were focused too much on the interns and I was afraid the show was going to be about them?  It’s happened.  The show is about med students now.  Great.

My first beef is with the girl Lucy who is the new JD.  Hate her.  I don’t like one thing about her.  I don’t care that Dr. Cox hates her and I really wish she would drop out of med school.  Watch, she’s going to grow on me and I’ll being saying how much I lover her squeaky voice and inability to talk in front of people.  Who knows.

I don’t know where to go from here.  I can’t believe I actually sat through an hour of this garbage.  Am I going to watch it next week?  Probably.  I just love Scrubs so much and I want to believe the show will get better but I’m not holding my breath.

What do you think?  Am I being too hard on the show?

Scrubs is on Tuesdays at 9pm on ABC.

Scrubs: My Cuz

10Silly me, I actually thought JD’s cousin was coming on the show.  I never in a million years thought I’d be laughing hysterically at wiener cousins.  Wiener cousins!?  Only to be topped by bajingo cousins.  I think I lizzed a little bit when that little nugget popped out.

I can’t tell you how happy I am to see JD with his son.  I know they mention his kid a lot but it’s another think entirely to see them spending time together.  And I loved at the end of the show that he was going to move closer to Sam.  Touching.  I love this show.

And holla for Turk getting the Chief of Surgery gig.  He’s awesome.  I would love to work for him.  He can make anything fun.

How surprised were you to see Sean back?  I never in a million years would have guessed he would be Sam’s other daddy.  I hope if we see him in future episodes he’ll have that chip off of his shoulder though.  He was such a great guy.  I’d like to see him happy again.  Especially if he’s going to be helping to raise JD’s baby.

I’m still lizzing (laughing and wizzing) about wiener cousins.  Are you mad that those two guys got with Nurse Roberts?  She was so holier than thou.  It just really surprised me.   Did it surprise you?

Scrubs is on Tuesdays at 8pm on ABC.

Scrubs: My Soul on Fire Part 2

01I was wrong.  I was wrong.  I, I, I was wrong.  Do you see how I took Elliot’s I was right song and switched it around?  So Elliot and JD didn’t get married and Janitor did.  I was so wrong.  I never thought in a million years Janitor was actually capable of getting married.  Do you say Lady is a lucky girl?  I guess if Janitor does it for her she is lucky.  I guess it’s nice to see his character develop and have a more loving side.

Poor Doug getting left out of everything.  I’m so glad his hair is short again.  I can’t remember if it was this season or last season that it was long but I like it much better short.

It’s also nice to see Jordan and Dr Cox learning to love each other.  Although I loved that they despised each other so much there’s something gratifying about them actually being in love and enjoying spending time together.

And I love that Carla found time to be a wife again and not just a mother.  Even if it’s just for the trip that’s so important to remember what it’s like to be a woman.  Maybe this is a good time to quote the All rep from Celebrity Apprentice and say she found herself a “woman with kids, not a mom.”  That phrase still confuses me on an everyday practical level but I think it really fits for this situation.

And wow.  Can you believe JD actually told Elliot that he loves her more than he loves Turk?  This is a big deal people.  Their bromance is alive and thriving so he must really love Elliot.  I love that he got the Brady Bunch tiki back from Turk and gave it to Elliot.  That’s true love.

All in all, one of the best episodes this season.  Didn’t happen the way I thought it would but I’m totally satisfied.  Can’t wait until they get back to normal next week.

Do you think Elliot and JD will get engaged before the season ends?

Scrubs: My Soul on Fire Part 1

07When I woke up this morning Scott told me this was the worst Scrubs episode EVER.  I totally didn’t believe him until I saw the premise for the show.  A vacation!!!  Vacation episodes ALWAYS suck.  You gotta keep it familiar for it to work.  Or at least that is my experience.  Feel free to chime in if you’ve found a show that makes it work.  For me they are throw away episodes and I don’t enjoy them.

I’ll tell you what I did enjoy.  This is so horrible of me but I enjoyed Elliot starving herself and then totally bingeing and Jordan getting lypo.  That was funny to me.  And then poor Carla in her mom suit and shorts traipsing down the beach kind of cut at my heart.  I personally try to still keep things sexy but oh boy do I know what it’s like to feel like completely covering up.  I was totally shopping online for bathing suits this morning which actually made me get off my butt and put my running clothes and iPod on and head out the door.  Only thing was, it was raining, and I don’t run in the rain.  Better go look at some cover ups now.

So how do you think this is going to play out?  I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that JD and Elliot are actually going to end up getting married at the Janitor’s ceremony.  Think about it.  Why else would they go to the Bahamas?  And Elliot convinced Lady to have a ceremony.  Someone’s got to use it.  And they’ve got to do something big to close out the series.  Why not get hitched?

Worst Scrubs ever but maybe we’ll get a wedding out of it.  What do you think?

Scrubs is on Wednesdays at 8pm on ABC.

Scrubs: My Full Moon

11How laid back and fun was this episode?  I loved that it was just Elliot and Turk hanging out at the hospital with their interns.  Now I know you’ve heard me scorn the interns before but they are really growing on me.  I’ll still be mad if they get a spin off after this season is over (don’t ask me why, I just will be) but I like how they’re playing into the show.

Have I mentioned before how much I love The Todd?  Oh, I have?  Silly me.  I loved that he was getting so unnerved by everybody giving high fives around him.  Who knew that was his only weakness?  I mean Carla and Eliot convinced him he was gay at one point and he just totally went with it.  He made all the male docs uncomfortable as he flung sexual innuendos their way but he didn’t seem to mind at all.  It was hilarious.

I don’t even want to talk about the lady who had to pass gas.  Oh, ok maybe I will.  But I’ll be quick about it.  I love it when we get into Elliot’s head and nonsense that her mother raised her with.  How did it go?  If she passed gas a demon would suck out the soul of her grandmother.  I love how crazy Elliot is.

I loved when Elliot and Turk were considering what it would be like if they got together.  Turk would never have gone out with Elliot because her butt is too small.  Interesting.  I would have thought the reason would be that she’s all kinds of crazy but maybe he was just trying to be nice.

I can’t believe JD would actually take Sam to Disneyland without Turk.  That really doesn’t seem like something JD would do but maybe being a father has changed him.  I did enjoy Turk’s meltdown when he found out.

And what about Elliot wanting to quit work and be a mom?  How awesome is that?  Not everyday you see that kind of decision making in a TV show.  It makes me wonder how the series is going to end.

I love this show.  I’ve watched every episode that’s been on the air and I am so happy that I get these few episodes more.  Are you just getting into Scrubs or are you a die hard fan from the beginning?

Scrubs in on Wednesday nights at 8pm on ABC.

Scrubs: My Absence and My Comedy Show

picture-51Isn’t it weird how people keep going missing from the show.  Two episodes without Carla, two episodes without Turk now an episode without JD.  It’s like they didn’t give them enough money so they can’t put them in every show.  I also felt like they were showing us what it would be like without JD since Zach Braff says he’s done after this season.  I’ve already told you I think they’re just going to do a spin off with all of the interns.  I guess we’ll just wait and see.

The most memorable thing was the comedy show when JD and Turk’s bromance was brought to light.  ”We didn’t know the whole hospital saw us like that.”  I love that Turk ran around the building to cut JD off for a hug.  And then to cap it all off, “Eagle.”  I love Turk and JD.  I’m so glad they have a bromance going on.  It just wouldn’t be the same show without it.

Anyone else surprised that Carla and Turk are having a second baby so soon?  That totally caught me off guard especially since she had such horrible post partum depression with Izzy.  And how are they going to wrap up an entire pregnancy before the season ends?

I don’t know but are you loving that Scrubs is back on the air?

Scrubs: My New Role and My Lawyer’s in Love

01I don’t really know what to say about last night.  It was a little bit of a let down.  Maybe too much drama and too little funny.  I don’t know but these were not my favorite two episodes by far.

I am in mourning for Big Ed.  Why, oh why, did Dr. Cox have to fire him.  He was my new favorite but now he’s gone.  He was a lame intern though and definitely deserved to get fired but I wish there would have been some way for him to redeem himself.  I can keep my fingers crossed for next week right?

And it’s about darn time that Ted has someone who wants to do him.  And a musician and cutie pie at that.  Their son together was magical.  ”Like leads to like, like and like, like leads to love.”  Guess he’s gotta kick his mom out of his bed now.

I do like the idea that Cox is the new Kelso and JD is the new Cox.  And Kelso and Cox being secret bffs was super fab.

So, OK.  I still liked the episodes.  I like direction they are taking us.  I just hope everyone gets comfortable in their roles soon and start cracking me up again.

Should we start a petition to get Big Ed back?

Scrubs: My ABC’s and My Cookie Pants

03It’s hard for me to get used to the big role all the new interns are playing.  I feel like were getting set up for a spin off with the interns once the show ends this year.  I will say that I do enjoy  Big Ed.  Zwah!  I think he adds something fun into the mix.

Of course Elliott gets played by her intern.  She gets played by everyone.  Hopefully though from now on she’ll kick that girls behind all around the hospital.  In the end I guess we see the beginning of the new interns journey which again points for me to a spin off.  They’re really trying to get us invested in these people.

Now, Scott and I loved that at the end of My Cookie Pants Elliott was still in her cookie pants after promising JD the night of his life.  Looks like this time around their relationship will actually work.  It was just so refreshing to see them finally comfortable with themselves and each other.  Thank goodness Carla was out of town so Elliott could figure things out on her own.

Kudos to Dr. Cox for taking the Chief of Medicine job.  I can’t wait to see what kind of trouble he gets into with the board.  I loved Jordan’s enthusiasm about getting a double nanny.

I guess in the future I’d like to see less of the interns but let’s be honest, beggars can’t be choosers.  I’ll take whatever they give me.  I love this show.  What’s your take on the interns?

Scrubs is on Tuesday nights at 9 and 9:30pm PST on ABC.
