The Bachelorette: Finale
I believe this may be the first time that the final 2 guys were my favorites from early on, and she actually chose the person I wanted her to choose! Granted, my favorite is not necessarily the right fit for the person- it’s usually the person that I would most be attracted to. But, I do have hopes for this relationship.
I think both Kiptyn and Ed are great guys. And, when it got to the end, I had to prepare myself for her choosing either guy. Between the show forcing you to like a certain guy, and the majority of her family leaning toward Kip, I knew she could go either way. Kiptyn may have been a good fit too, but I was so happy when he got out of the first limo. However, I then had to prepare myself for Reid. I think Jillian wins the prize for most guys returning to the show after they’ve been sent home. First Jake, then Ed, and then Reid. There was actually a brief second when I thought she might tell Ed goodbye. Thank goodness she didn’t!
I guess I thought it was kind of funny how surprised Reid was when she let him go again. I don’t know how many days it was between him leaving and returning, but he has to know that she took both guys to meet her family, and spent another night with each of them. Wouldn’t you assume that she might be more in love with one of them than with you? She may have given him a specific reason why she let him go to begin with, but ultimately, she obviously had more with the other 2 guys. Poor Reid.
Well, I’m pleased… and I can’t wait to see what happens. “After the Final Rose” airs tonight, 10pm PST on ABC. I hope they’re happy. I know it’s so dorky to get this caught up in a reality show, but I feel like it so rarely works out, that I really want it to work out this time! We’ll see.

Well, as exciting as this episode was, where the heck was Wes?! Honestly, that was one of the main reasons I was looking forward to it. I’m sure he had nothing better to do. He just knew that he was going to get ripped apart, and all the “good publicity” would have turned negative, and potentially people would boycott their album because Wes is selfish, fame-seeking, A-hole. (Yes, this was me holding back.)
I’m in for Elaine again this week. I actually felt like I knew how this episode was going to end and with the exception of when Wes left, I usually have no idea.
I’m going to try really hard to put this post together but Elaine really is better at this than I am. I have to be honest. I get so confused with which guy is which and who’s family belongs to who but I’m going to at least try to start the discussion.
Jillian took the final 7 guys on a train trip across Canada, and I have to say, Robby got the shaft. I knew he’d be the next to go. Not only is he young, but he doesn’t have a job, he doesn’t know what he’s doing in life, and I definitely don’t think Jillian was attracted to him. It was just sad and humiliating for him to be dumped off in the middle of nowhere. It’s totally for the show, but they tend to make exits as dramatic as possible.
I was so focused on what a freaking loser Wes is, that I never thought it would be Ed that would leave dramatically. First, it has to suck to be in his position. Obviously, he’s essential to his job. But, why didn’t he tell his boss that he might be gone for 6 weeks? Do you think he just told him he was going to be gone for a couple weeks, assuming he wouldn’t necessarily really like Jillian? I can totally understand his decision though. Ultimately, Jillian will end up being able to chose a guy, and have the chance at love. He’s risking his career and life, and has a 9 in 10 chance of being dumped, and left without love or a job. But, the saddest part to me was that he seriously was one of my favorites and obviously one of Jillian’s favorites too. I bet she knows who her top 3 or 4 guys are, and it wouldn’t surprise me if she knew Ed was going to stay around that long. So sad…
It’s really hard when it takes 3 or 4 weeks to really get to know some of the guys. Either because they haven’t done much of a bio on them, or Jillian just hasn’t gone on a one-on-one date with them. But, I do think this season is turning out to be quite exciting!
After all the drama with Jason on the Bachelor last season, I really didn’t think I was going to watch this season. I just wasn’t gung-ho Jillian. However, once you watch the first episode, you get hooked, right? I do like the girl. But I’m trying to stay as unattached as I can.
