The Bachelorette: Finale

02I believe this may be the first time that the final 2 guys were my favorites from early on, and she actually chose the person I wanted her to choose! Granted, my favorite is not necessarily the right fit for the person- it’s usually the person that I would most be attracted to. But, I do have hopes for this relationship.

I think both Kiptyn and Ed are great guys. And, when it got to the end, I had to prepare myself for her choosing either guy. Between the show forcing you to like a certain guy, and the majority of her family leaning toward Kip, I knew she could go either way. Kiptyn may have been a good fit too, but I was so happy when he got out of the first limo. However, I then had to prepare myself for Reid. I think Jillian wins the prize for most guys returning to the show after they’ve been sent home. First Jake, then Ed, and then Reid. There was actually a brief second when I thought she might tell Ed goodbye. Thank goodness she didn’t!

I guess I thought it was kind of funny how surprised Reid was when she let him go again. I don’t know how many days it was between him leaving and returning, but he has to know that she took both guys to meet her family, and spent another night with each of them. Wouldn’t you assume that she might be more in love with one of them than with you? She may have given him a specific reason why she let him go to begin with, but ultimately, she obviously had more with the other 2 guys. Poor Reid.

Well, I’m pleased… and I can’t wait to see what happens. “After the Final Rose” airs tonight, 10pm PST on ABC. I hope they’re happy. I know it’s so dorky to get this caught up in a reality show, but I feel like it so rarely works out, that I really want it to work out this time! We’ll see.

The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All

Picture 4Well, as exciting as this episode was, where the heck was Wes?! Honestly, that was one of the main reasons I was looking forward to it. I’m sure he had nothing better to do. He just knew that he was going to get ripped apart, and all the “good publicity” would have turned negative, and potentially people would boycott their album because Wes is selfish, fame-seeking, A-hole. (Yes, this was me holding back.)

Other than that, the only other important piece is that Reid is most definitely a part of the finale… and whether Jill chooses him or not, I’m pretty sure that’s why he wasn’t there either. They showed him in the preview for next week, I think holding a ring? So, do you think he shows up to propose as well?! If so, this is definitely going to be the most dramatic finale we’ve seen. (I think even more so than Jason last year.)

I thoroughly enjoy watching grown men have cat fights. Everything between Jake, David, Juan, Tanner, and whomever else was quite entertaining. I didn’t learn much else, other than David may not be a complete jerk, but he’s definitely a man’s man, and is slightly deluded. All the guys who I liked from the get-go, I still think are great guys. Oh- and Ed is a hilarious drunk. Those had to have been some of the best out takes ever!

Hope you enjoyed last night’s episode. I am certainly looking forward to the finale. It airs this Monday night, 8pm PST on ABC.

The Bachelorette: Final Three Head to Hawaii

01I’m in for Elaine again this week.  I actually felt like I knew how this episode was going to end and with the exception of when Wes left, I usually have no idea.

First off was Kiptyn and I totally feel like he and Jillian have a great connection but as Laura pointed out in the comments a while back his family is pretty wack so it makes me not like him.  He did seem to be opening up more and committing more to Jillian so that’s good.

I just want to know how you get into a standing position on those poles they were on.  I get climbing up but I’m not sure I could straighten my back out once I got to the top.  My husband would totally have to coach me along just like Kiptyn did.

Ed.  I don’t know where to even start with Ed this week.  Things were going so well with his family and on the date.  He’s my favorite so I was totally rooting for him and then things don’t go well when they spend the night together.  What do you think that was all about?  Not to get too personal but did they just fall asleep or could he not get his equipment working?  I hope for his sake they have another overnighter next week so he can prove his manliness or love or whatever for Jillian.  I love that he is totally talking about marriage.  He’s my guy.

Poor Reid.  Of course he had to go he wouldn’t express any feelings for Jillian.  How could she keep him around when he wouldn’t give her a straight answer?  That being said Reid was my second favorite so I’m sad to see him go.  Especially after the limo ride where he was obviously regretting not telling Jillian how he felt.  Do you think he’s coming back to express his undying love for her?

I know there’s some revelation on the finale.  What will it be?

The Bachelorette is on Mondays at 8pm on ABC.

The Bachelorette: Spain

01I’m going to try really hard to put this post together but Elaine really is better at this than I am.  I have to be honest.  I get so confused with which guy is which and who’s family belongs to who but I’m going to at least try to start the discussion.

So we have two weeks to catch up on.  I didn’t have any real clear impressions from any of the families last week.  I thought they were all nice and I thought they were very accepting of Jillian.  I thought the break dancer maybe had a little too much fun and that’s why he didn’t get a rose.

Of course Wes’ family thinks he’s great.  They’ve never dated him.  He doesn’t go back to them and tell all the sordid details of his intimate life.  I did feel after seeing his family that he was more misguided than pure evil.  Though I’m sure you will disagree with that.

I was so happy that Jake came back and talked to Jillian.  I’m just mad that Tanner didn’t say anything before he left.  I loved the confrontation between Jake and Wes and I my only disappointment is that it didn’t turn into a Jerry Springer episode.  That would have been awesome.

Now Spain, how romantic is that?  I loved all the dates with the exception of Wes’ which was just so uncomfortable.  I’m going to go ahead and say that Ed is my favorite.  I am of course royally bummed that we didn’t get to meet his family but there’s something about Ed and Jillian together that is just magical.  I love it.  I love that he came back for her.  He finally met the girl that he could put in front of his career.  That’s a huge step.  I just hope it works out for him.

Did anyone else get totally grossed out when Jillian and Wes were reading the invitation to the fantasy suite and Wes was like, “I think we should do it!”  After having the most awkward date in the history of the word the guy just wants to get in her pants.  He just wanted some action.  He could have cared less who it was with which was testified later at the rose ceremony where he said something along the lines of “If I leave, know that I’ll be having lots of sex.”  Now that is classy.  If he’s going down, he’s going down with his guns blazing.

I’m just glad he’s gone.  Low down, horny bastard but I’m not sure he’s the evil to end all evil.  People use reality TV to further their careers all the time.  I’m just sorry Jillian had to get hurt by it.

So I’ve already pledged my allegiance to Ed.  Who do want to see her end up with?

The Bachelorette is on Mondays at 8pm on ABC.

The Bachelorette: Train Trip

picture-24Jillian took the final 7 guys on a train trip across Canada, and I have to say, Robby got the shaft. I knew he’d be the next to go. Not only is he young, but he doesn’t have a job, he doesn’t know what he’s doing in life, and I definitely don’t think Jillian was attracted to him. It was just sad and humiliating for him to be dumped off in the middle of nowhere. It’s totally for the show, but they tend to make exits as dramatic as possible.

Okay, I’ve tried to keep it clean, but I just can’t do it anymore. Wes is a freaking asshole! I can’t help but think that the producers knew he wanted fame, and they cast him just to have someone to make some drama. Still, I can’t believe how selfish and arrogant he is! And he totally doesn’t care anymore! He flat-out told the other guys has has nothing to lose, and he’s pretty much gotten what he wants out of this. Why the hell can’t Jillian see any of this?! I cannot wait for the reunion show to see what she thinks about it all.

Now, I had a feeling that Jillian wasn’t going to keep Jake around. Sad. :( But to keep someone like Wes around, and meet his family over someone like Jake?! Ultimately, I really didn’t see Jillian having as strong of a connection with Jake as a couple of the others. (ahem- Kiptyn!) But I still love the guy and hope he finds a great girl.

Speaking of Kiptyn, it is so obvious how much Jillian likes making out with him. I’m going to make my guess now that he’s the one she picks in the end. Honestly, I think so often on The Bachelorette, or The Bachelor, there’s someone that the person has tons of physical chemistry with, but for whatever reason, they end up going with a safer choice, and it doesn’t work out. I.e. DeAnna was totally attracted to Graham, but let him go. Jason clearly thought Molly was attractive, and admitted he enjoyed kissing her the most, and then picked Melissa.

My point is, although there’s definitely not enough time in 6 weeks to get to know everything about a person, I think it’s totally important to think about physical chemistry. Yes, you need a lot of other things in a relationship as well, but you have to be attracted to the person! I just hope Jillian knows that too.

So, please tell me you hate Wes as much as I do. Did you see next week’s preview? I can’t wait to see Jake come back and tell Jillian!! That will be the only redeeming thing about him leaving!

The Bachelorette: 10 Men Left

picture-23I was so focused on what a freaking loser Wes is, that I never thought it would be Ed that would leave dramatically. First, it has to suck to be in his position. Obviously, he’s essential to his job. But, why didn’t he tell his boss that he might be gone for 6 weeks? Do you think he just told him he was going to be gone for a couple weeks, assuming he wouldn’t necessarily really like Jillian? I can totally understand his decision though. Ultimately, Jillian will end up being able to chose a guy, and have the chance at love. He’s risking his career and life, and has a 9 in 10 chance of being dumped, and left without love or a job. But, the saddest part to me was that he seriously was one of my favorites and obviously one of Jillian’s favorites too. I bet she knows who her top 3 or 4 guys are, and it wouldn’t surprise me if she knew Ed was going to stay around that long. So sad…

I have nothing else to say except for what a slime ball Wes is. It is so obvious to everyone that Wes is there for the wrong reason! Hello, Jillian, why can’t you see it? And as he’s trying to convince her of why people feel threatened, he’s talking about his new CD coming out!!! What a loser. Who’s with me in boycotting Wes’ album?

It’s so hard when they show clips from upcoming episodes and then I sit there and analyze them. I think they edit just enough to make you think what they want you to think. So, I won’t speculate too much. But all I know is that I think Wes is going to stay a whole lot longer than I’d like. Please, Jillian, don’t pick Wes!!

Was this episode as sad for you all as it was for me? I did love some parts- like Michael! I’ll try and focus on happier moments next week.

The Bachelorette: Episode 3

picture-2It’s really hard when it takes 3 or 4 weeks to really get to know some of the guys. Either because they haven’t done much of a bio on them, or Jillian just hasn’t gone on a one-on-one date with them. But, I do think this season is turning out to be quite exciting!

I hardly remember Ed at all… but after seeing him on his one-on-one date, I LOVE him! He seems like a totally cool, down-to-Earth, sweet guy. (And I have a soft spot in my heart for the quiet type…) I’m going to try not to be a dork and love a new guy every week. I’m hoping as the numbers get fewer, and Jillian gets to know more of them, we’ll get to know them better as well. (My favorites are still Jake, Kiptyn, and now Ed.)

As for Sasha going home, I was shocked! Honestly, I don’t think I’ll ever really understand the whole process. I know they say it’s real and unscripted… but it definitely felt like she knew beforehand that she was going to send him home. She was genuinely surprised that he had had a major life-changing experience, and I think she doubted having to send him home.

And finally, what is up with Wes, Juan, and Dave? I don’t like Wes at all (anymore). He seems cheesy, phony, and I’m going to strangle him if I have to hear that song again! And I don’t know what to think about Juan. He seems phony too. But I wonder how many of them truly act “themselves.” First, they’re on camera 24 hours a day, AND they’re all trying to impress one girl. And then there’s Dave. The fact that he cares so much about Juan is disturbing. Plus, he swears like crazy, and his temper is SCA-RY!

Can’t wait for next week! Someone has a girlfriend?! Watch with me Monday nights, 8pm PST, on ABC.

The Bachelorette: Jillian meets 30 men

picture-12After all the drama with Jason on the Bachelor last season, I really didn’t think I was going to watch this season. I just wasn’t gung-ho Jillian. However, once you watch the first episode, you get hooked, right? I do like the girl. But I’m trying to stay as unattached as I can.

So, I don’t know why bigger is necessarily better. After Jill met the 25 guys, 5 more were brought in. I guess it’s nice to have more to choose from. But I figure, it shouldn’t matter how many you have… the right guy is either there or he isn’t. And isn’t it harder to get to know them better if there’s more to divide your attention?

There’s not a lot to say at this point. There were a few standouts- from first impressions, I instantly loved Jake, the pilot. (But in my analyzing brain, I wonder if the guys who stay longer get a little better intro…) And I liked Juan, (who got the final rose last night!) Kiptyn, and Sasha. But there are still 20 left! So, we’ll see as the show goes on who I continue to like.

Halleluia she sent home Greg “Bilbro.” What a tool! Seriously, do they just put these guys on the show to get a reaction? I’m glad he’s gone!

As always, they show you all the drama that’s to come, so I’m, of course, looking forward to it! Tell me if you’re watching, and if you’re hooked already!

The Bachelorette airs Monday nights at 8pm, PST.
